I want to tell you about something I've been working on behind the scenes, because I'm genuinely excited about it and very proud of myself for writing it. It is called 'How to be neurodivergent AND happy'.
I was diagnosed late in life with Autism, ADHD, and CPTSD. Late enough that by the time the pieces clicked into place, I'd already spent decades wondering what was wrong with me. I tried therapies, systems, routines, colour coded planners I used for exactly four days, all of it aimed at becoming a version of myself that would finally function the way I thought everyone else was functioning. Turns out nobody else was functioning the way I imagined either, and the whole premise I'd been working from was flawed from the start. Would have been handy to know that a bit sooner.
If any of that sounds familiar, you're exactly who I've been thinking about while building this.
So here's what I've made. A short course, ten modules, each one somewhere between two and three minutes long. Genuinely doable, even on the kind of day where your attention has the commitment level of a Wi-Fi signal in a lift. You could watch one on a tea break and still have time left for the tea.
It moves through the things I wish someone had explained to me twenty years ago, the difference between your thoughts and the awareness underneath them, why traditional mindfulness can backfire spectacularly for a sensitive nervous system, what's actually happening in your body during shutdown or overwhelm, and why your sensitivity might be worth a lot more than you've been told.
None of it asks you to fix yourself. That was the whole point. No homework, no pressure to arrive at the end a shinier, calmer, more palatable version of you, just a few minutes here and there to sit with an idea and see what it does.
I'm not sharing all the details yet, that's coming soon, but I wanted you to know it exists, and that it was built with you specifically in mind.
If you've spent years feeling like you were the problem rather than just wired differently, keep an eye out. This one's for you.
